BTW: The 'brinco' or 'brinquinho' is a traditional instrument used in Madeiran Folclore to compass the rhythm. Articulated figures in traditional Madeiran dress are set round a pole that moves in a vertical movement. Sound is produced by a small 'castanetes' and bottle tops attached to the figures.
